Clarioncall.com publisher Corrin Strong and Geneseo Town Planning Board member Patti Lavigne have both announced that they will be seeking the Republican nomination for Geneseo Town Supervisor at a caucus to be scheduled this summer. The announcements were carried in today’s issue of the Livingston County News, in a front page story in which both candidates took turns bashing the policies of incumbent Democrat Wes Kennison.
Strong also announced today the publication of his campaign web site at www.corrinstrong.com. The site includes biographical information, his platform and a campaign diary blog which he promises to update daily with reports from the campaign trail.
“I wanted to provide some separation between my campaign and the Clarioncall.com web site, ” Strong explained. “So I started a separate site.” Strong had first revealed his candidacy in his Clarion Call column published Tuesday.
The announcements caused Bill Lofquist to weigh in on the dilemma that Smart Growth Democrats face in this election in his weekly column.
