On Tuesday Corrin Strong and Bill Lofquist took a road trip to the City of Oneida, in Madison County, N.Y. That community was identified as a good test case to be studied for the Newman Development Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), because it is of similar size to Geneseo (about 10,000 pop.) and it has a Super Wal-Mart and a Lowes.
The Draft EIS is expected to be released in the next few days, and we will publish an analysis of it here as soon as it is available. In the meantime, you can get a head start on the fun by reading Corrin and Bill’s columns about their road trip and seeing their Oneida photo album.
