Big Box battle heats up: Lofquist responds to Supervisor’s comments

Breaking from his regular once-a-week column schedule, Clarion Call columnist Bill Lofquist has written a special column today responding to comments by Geneseo Supervisor Wes Kennison quoted in a Rochester Democrat & Chronicle article published yesterday. The column titled “Planning, Zoning and Apple Pie,” takes aim at Kennison’s assertion that the proposed Geneseo Master Plan represents a “restraint of trade.”

Interest in the Geneseo controversy is peaking after the appearance of the Sunday D & C article. Clarioncall.com publisher Corrin Strong reported that Monday saw the highest number of visitors to the site since it started on April 1, with over 100 visitors to the Clarion News Blog on Monday alone. That brought the total number of blog readers over the 2,000 mark since the blog was moved to wordpress.com less than a month ago on May 13.
