Please Don’t Destroy Geneseo FOIL Director Bill Lofquist has revealed that Newman Development has offered to supply the missing documents that were the subject of an Article 78 lawsuit against the town earlier this year. The offer is conditioned on the town requesting the developer to release the documents.
Lofquist reports this offer was made by Newman attorney Ken Kamlet after the August 27 Town Planning Board meeting. Lofquist immediately contacted the town and urged them to ask for the release of the records.
The subject was raised by board member Dan Dimpfl at the Geneseo Town Board meeting last week. Supervisor Wes Kennison reported that the matter is being “reviewed by counsel.” He refused to speculate on how long that review might take.
